SUPERIOR SAWS

After 25 years in the machine tool industry and returning from the USA where we had spent 5 years establishing a branch of an Australian company which specialized in sales and distribution of circular sawing machines and sawblades for the metal cutting industries, the founder of the company realized the need for a company to provide more highly technical service and support to the Australian industry than was being provided by existing companies at the time, and so established a company to provide these services.

1982 - Company established in December and began selling and sharpening sawblades to metal cutting industries in a factory in Fairfield, NSW.

1983 – In March we were was offered and accepted sole agency agreements for “Kinkelder” (circular saw blades) and Haberle (circular sawing machines).

1984 - installed 1st electronically controlled sawblade grinding machine for sharpening cold sawblades, followed by a 2nd machine in 1986.

1984 – purchased “KB” saw sharpening and ‘B&D” sharpening service.

1989 – commenced servicing of segmental and friction sawblades up to 1.4 metric diameter.

1989 – purchased and moved to larger factory in Guildford, NSW.

1994 – installed first CNC machine for sharpening HSS (cold saw) blades, followed by further machines in 1996 and 1999.

- commenced distribution of Molemab range of “Flap” and grinding discs

1998 – installed machinery and equipment for repairing and sharpening TCT sawblades.

- installed 1st and only CNC machine in Australia for sharpening segmental HSS and friction sawblades up to 1 metre diameter.

1999 – offered and accepted Sole Agency agreement with Ultra, France for sales and distribution of their range of bandsaws and holesaws and installed CNC bandsaw welding centre in Sydney.

2000 - purchased and moved to larger premises in Smithfield, NSW

2003 – purchased Regina Saws in Brisbane and commenced operation of our Brisbane branch to service Queensland customers.

- installed CNC grinding machine with auto loading in Sydney to enable us to sharpen HSS (cold saw) blades 24/7

- installed CNC grinding machine with auto loading to enable us to sharpen TCT sawblades 24/7

2006 – purchased RB Saw & Grinding Works in Brisbane and consolidated its operation with our existing Brisbane branch

- installed CNC grinding machine for sharpening TCT sawblades in Brisbane

- installed CNC bandsaw welding centre in Brisbane branch

2008 – second CNC machine installed in Sydney for segmental sawblades

2007 – Lucile and Peter Clarke, founders of the company, went into semi-retirement and handed over the day to day operations to their two sons, Peter and Greg.

2010 – commenced distribution of ultrabore magnetic based drilling machines and circular cutters
